CARIF 2026 Technical Site Visit
Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the CARIF 2026 Technical Site Visit at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science (the “Site Visit”), organized by New Energy Events in connection with the 2026 Caribbean Infrastructure Forum (“CARIF” or the “Event”).
1. Site Visit Overview
The Site Visit will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 and will include a technical program at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School, including planned access to the Alfred C. Glassell Jr. SUSTAIN Laboratory and other participating research facilities and activities.
The Site Visit is an optional add-on to CARIF registration.
2. Eligibility and Capacity
Participation is limited to approximately 30 participants and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A Site Visit place is confirmed only upon successful completion of registration and payment of the Site Visit fee.
Participants must also hold a valid CARIF 2026 registration.
New Energy Events may operate a waitlist once capacity has been reached.
3. Site Visit Fee and Inclusions
Site Visit Fee: USD $150 per participant
The Site Visit fee includes:
- Round-trip group transportation between The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove and the University of Miami Rosenstiel School
- Participation in the scheduled technical program
- Access to participating demonstrations and research facilities, subject to University of Miami visitor and safety requirements
- Direct discussion and Q&A with participating University of Miami researchers
Food, beverages and any optional post-visit activities are not included unless expressly stated otherwise.
4. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers
Due to limited capacity and advance commitments associated with transportation and facility operation, Site Visit fees are non-refundable after Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
Cancellation requests received on or before September 2, 2026 will be eligible for a refund of the Site Visit fee.
Site Visit registrations may be transferred to another registered CARIF attendee, subject to advance notice to New Energy Events and the substitute participant meeting all applicable visitor and participation requirements.
Failure to attend the Site Visit or failure to arrive in time for the scheduled group departure will not entitle the participant to a refund.
5. Transportation and Timing
Round-trip group transportation will depart from and return to The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove at the times communicated to registered participants before the Site Visit.
Participants are responsible for arriving at the designated meeting point by the stated check-in time.
Participants who miss the scheduled group departure will be responsible for arranging alternative transportation at their own expense and cannot be guaranteed access to the Site Visit or its scheduled activities.
6. University of Miami Visitor and Safety Requirements
Participants must comply with all applicable University of Miami visitor, safety, facility and access requirements.
These requirements may include completion of a separate University of Miami liability waiver and compliance with footwear or other safety requirements for access to particular areas.
Certain facilities, demonstrations or activities may be unavailable to participants who do not satisfy applicable access or safety requirements.
7. Program Changes
The Site Visit schedule, itinerary, demonstrations, facilities, participating researchers and other program elements are subject to change based on operational, safety, research or other requirements.
New Energy Events and the University of Miami may modify, substitute or restrict individual elements of the Site Visit where reasonably necessary. Such changes will not, by themselves, constitute cancellation of the Site Visit.
8. Cancellation of the Site Visit
If New Energy Events cancels the Site Visit in its entirety, registered participants will receive a refund of the Site Visit fee.
New Energy Events is not responsible for travel, accommodation or other incidental expenses incurred in connection with participation in the Site Visit.
9. Relationship to CARIF Terms and Conditions
These Site Visit Terms and Conditions supplement the general terms and conditions applicable to CARIF 2026 registration.
Where these Terms address matters specifically relating to the Site Visit, these Site Visit Terms and Conditions will apply.
